Day made(PART I): Strictly Pancakes

In the midst of figuring out what I'm doing for the term break, I'd say..... HANGING OUT WITH FRIENDS cause that's just the best. I met up with Natalyn and Jon to go for this cafe at Clarke Quay. When i got there, I must say I was a little bit disappointed because it is a really small place. Personally I feel its more of just a small rest stop for tired travellers(and by travellers I meant shoppers HAHA).

It was lunch time and I haven't eaten anything yet since the time i woke up in the morning so... yeah was in a little bit of a grumpy mood. Nat and Jon actually ate before they met up with me so its just me left not eaten lunch. We decided to go to Strictly Pancakes because I was craving pancakes.

The place was pretty packed when we got there so in the end we had to take the sofa seats with the super low coffee table. *complaints from Nat and Jon non-stop*

Here are some snippets and selfies we took while we waited for my pancakes to arrive...

The Amanda impression
Jon totally looks like an uncle here, hehe
Me goofin' around, as always HAHA
Medium stack pancakes + maple syrup with salted butter and scrambled eggs
Typically I would have ordered something really sweet to go with my pancakes but I was craving for something salty that day so my go to is always scrambled eggs.

The last time I came here, I ordered the pancakes with banana and strawberry(I think, blame it on my bad memory lulz). The pancakes then were really good but the pancakes I had this time was a little dry so I was that little bit disappointed.
After I finished we had some time as we were waiting for Amanda and this girl starts drawing #designerproblems

I like how the interior of the place gives off the really comfy and homely vibe.
I mentioned that it was packed but its really empty in this picture, that's because Strictly Pancakes closes from 4-6pm so if you guys want to head over, you know what time they will be opened!

Amanda came and she was really hungry but we have all eaten(I swear this is a vicious cycle of looking at each other eat at different timings LOL). We headed down to this chicken rice place near PoMo and we watched Amanda eat her dinner, hehe.

It was the last night for the Singapore Night Festival and Amanda, being part of the Band of Doodlers, was going to be there selling hand drawn laptop stickers.
OMG how cool is this?? If you want some you can check it out on her instagram, maybe send her a direct message for more information!!

trying to disturb Amanda over here HAHA

So I shall conclude the part I of the adventures on 30th Aug. Stayed tuned for Part II where I will talk about my experience at the Singapore Night Festival!!

Until next time,
xoxo

PORTFOLIO REVIEW MADNESS // All white ensemble

Sitting here drinking a nice cup of Banana Chocolate(also typing away on this blog post), thinking about my lecturers' comments earlier on during my portfolio review in school. Talking about my time management skills and what I hope to achieve in the future really got me thinking.  Now that it's the end of semester 1, a two month term break awaits and I'm still figuring out what to do with my life for these two months. I was tasked by my lecturer to complete at least 20 fashion-related sketches by the start of the next semester to practice a little more on my illustration. I must remind myself to think of this task as a burden and instead, use it to improve myself this term break so, GAME ON!!

Today has been hectic. I was supposed to wake up at 6 in the morning to go to school with Amanda as her portfolio review time slot is 9am(we have to be there 30mins early) but guess what, I slept through my alarm and 2 missed calls, finally waking up at 8.30am. It was one of those moments where you wake up and you think to yourself, "hmm how nice and bright the sun is, shining through the curtains" and then you realise that you are late and go into a small panic attack. YES THAT WAS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME. My time slot for the review was supposed to be 3.40pm. THREE-FORTY OMG and i was already in school by 11am, how long do I have to freaking wait before it's my turn?! Turns out a few of the people in the early morning slot were late and the lecturer let me do my review first so YAY I was done by 12pm. CAN Y'ALL FEEL THE AWESOMENESS HAHAHA(I can be such a retard).

But anyway, here is my outfit for my portfolio review! The dress code is either formal or smart casual. I went for an all white ensemble with this white blazer I bought online a while back. I spiced up the entire outfit by adding the high platform shoes by Y.R.U.

Top - H&M Conscious Collection, Shoes - Y.R.U. (dollskill is having a discount on these pair of awesomeness, just click on the name for the link!)

This is what usually happens before we get a good shot of outfits

Outfit: the red tartan

Hello there people of the internet!! Basically, an amazingly talented friend of mine, Orsqr did a quick photo shoot with me at Republic Polytechnic a while back. I have also said on my Instagram that I will be showing the pictures from this shoot on a blog that I've been working on so here it is!!

Been slacking off quite a bit with school and everything but now that the two-month term break is here, i thought why not let's just start the blog now.

This was the first time I worked with Orsqr and I must say it has been a really good experience. When we arrived at RP, we were immediately struck by this beautiful walkway with benches lined, just next to the water. Seeing that the sun was shining bright( the perfect lighting for an outdoor shoot), we quickly get to work and shot these photos.

Here is me, featuring the Red Tartan bomber jacket from Styledasher. I thought that it looked perfect so I got it, despite the heat in Singapore.

me trying to find coins on the floor and hey girl you just photobombed me HAHA

Just let me feel like I'm in a movie, please

I flipped the jacket around to give a different look. I love how there is that little bit of tartan lining on the inside as well, giving the whole look a little print.

Don't I already look like a celebrity? *flicks hair*
